About Miss Nicole |

|
Hi! I am Nicole Bailey. This is my family. I have a wonderful husband named Dennis, our amazing daughter Anelisa is 15, our terrific son Thomas is 12, and we are blessed to have the incredible Diane, our exchange student from France with us as well. We live in Mesick with Rusty, the happiest chocolate lab in the world, and two beautiful cats, Chessie and Peanut.
Between work, school, and play, we stay very busy. Anelisa, Thomas and Diane all run for their school teams, Dennis plays chess competitively, and I like to paint, draw, and quilt.
I became a teacher, first, because I have a true love of learning. I am always discovering new things, and meeting great people that can teach me about something new. I love teaching in the classroom because it gives me the opportunity to share some of the wonderful things that I have learned with your children. I like to make them smile and wonder and ask questions. I am a believer in the idea that they are listening to me when they are laughing with me, and it also gives me a great excuse to act silly. I use literature whenever I teach because I want to show your child all of the great ideas and stories and art that can be found in books, and in this way help to build a life-long love of great literature and reading.
I encourage creativity and self expression and believe that in preschool, the process often means more than the product.I strive to create a classroom where your child knows he is safe, treasured, and capable of great things. I am incredibly sentimental and passionate and sort of a sap. I cry far more out of happiness than I ever have from being sad. This opportunity to spend each day watching your child grow and learn is truly a gift, and I am very thankful. Please know that I value your suggestions as well as your questions. You know your child better than anyone, and you can offer me excellent feedback as I continually work to become a better teacher.
Thank You- Miss Nicole :)
